Cornwall Hospice Care is illustrating its commitment to Perranporth by opening a new and larger store in the town. The lifestyle shop, which will sell a mix of new and pre-loved goods, will start trading on Saturday (25th April) in what used to be Coastal Beach in St Piran’s Road.

Cornwall Hospice Care has enjoyed a long association with the town, being the only charity trading in the high street. Nina Kneil is the charity’s Business Manager for the area;

“We love Perranporth and the residents and visitors are very supportive, so when the opportunity came up to open a bigger store we jumped at it.  This will be what we call a lifestyle store, selling all kinds of goods from donated and new fashion clothes and accessories, to a changing stock of new furniture and home wares. We hope people will come and let us know what they think so we can develop the shop in to one meeting the needs of the local community.”

“We’re very committed to keeping the shopping experience local and yet professional, with a vibrant and smart feel, so this will certainly be an eye catching store that you won’t be able to walk past without popping in. It will also complement our existing shop in the town that will be selling children’s toys, clothes, books and linen, bric-a-brac and seaside gifts.”

“Shops are extremely important to our charity. We need to raise a huge amount of money to keep our two adult hospices in St Austell and Hayle running, providing specialist support free of charge to patients, and care for their families too.  Our shops help us meet more than a third of the £7.5 million we need to find annually.”

The new Perranporth lifestyle shop will be open seven days a week, from 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and from 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
