Cornwall Hospice Care nominated as a Co-op local cause Every time Co-op members buy branded products and services, from a loaf of bread to a funeral, 1% of their spend goes to a local cause. For the next six months Cornwall Hospice Care is going to be a part of the special fund, which means members can choose the charity to benefit. To make the most of this time friends of the charity are being urged to become a Co‑op member, if they aren't already, then to select Cornwall Hospice Care. To do this members need to sign in to their online account at www.coop.co.uk/membership where they can find out more about the fund and how, when and where to get involved. The proceeds will be used to update the grounds of the hospices, as Debbie Henshaw, Legacy, Trust and Grants Officer at Cornwall Hospice Care explains, "We’ll be using the money that’s raised to improve the gardens at both our hospices, with hanging baskets and summer flowering plants at St Julia’s in Hayle and a sensory garden, pond and year round planting at Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell. I'd like to thank the Co-op for choosing us to benefit from their special fund and hope our many friends will support this initiative."
