Let's Go Christmas Shopping

As we enter another lockdown, Christmas Shopping might be the last thing on your mind – but why not do it from the comfort of your own home, whilst helping to keep our beds open and supporting families facing a terminal illness this festive season?

There are lots of ways you can support us whilst shopping online – all the information you need is below. Happy Shopping!

Here's how to do it:

Avon calling!

Avon has a diverse range of products, it’s not just make up and bubble bath!  Lots of stocking fillers and lovely gifts for your sister, mum, husband, dad or even the kids, or maybe it’s a pampering treat for yourself on this occasion?  It will be conveniently delivered to your door and 15%  of everything you buy (20% over £100) will be donated  to Cornwall Hospice Care.  Melanie Evans our Community Fundraising Manager is managing our Avon Shop so you’ll see her name and our logo to confirm that you are shopping in aid of our hospices. Use this link – at NO cost to you, the buyer, or to us!  Thank you Avon!

Remembrance Candles

Cornwall Hospice Care has teamed up with Newshome Candles to produce a cinnamon and orange candle specifically for our 2020 Light up a Life event. Y ou can now buy your own candle to light at home to remember a loved one this Christmas and to light for our special service from Truro Cathedral.  Find out more about our Light Up a Life service and how to make dedication during the service here.

The cinnamon and orange candle is part of their Christmas scented candle collection and produces a beautifully sweet yet woody scent.  It arrives beautifully packed in box and any of their candles would make a fantastic gift, delivered direct.

Each candle has a burn time of 45 hours, is hand-poured using 100% natural ingredients and is vegan.

For each candle purchased, an amazing £6 will be donated to Cornwall Hospice Care.  Newshome will also kindly donate £2.50 for any other Candle purchased or 50p per Wax Melt.

Delivery is free for this product throughout the UK mainland.

Love Patchwork Gifts

Paula at Love Patchwork Gifts makes these lovely flowers – from fabric from your loved ones clothes or ties – what a wonderful way to immortalise their memory.  If you wish to order you can message Paula or visit her Facebook or Etsy pages. The flowers start at £4.95 each plus p&p, and Paula is donating 15% from the sale of these flowers to Cornwall Hospice Care – thank you Paula for your kindness.

Cornwall Hospice Care Christmas Cards

“Our Christmas cards are always popular”, says Frazer Hopkins, our Head of Retail. “Last year sales raised £50,000, enough to fund a nurse for a year, that’s 12 months of their expertise available for terminally ill patients and their families.  Our hospices have remained open 24/7 throughout the pandemic, our beds are full and our key nursing workers are on duty and caring for those who need us most.  The simple act of buying Christmas cards will help us to continue providing this care, free of charge, to families in Cornwall facing a terminal illness this December.

With a mix of designs that feature Cornish scenes exclusive to us and the more traditional snowmen and sleighs, there should be something to suit all tastes.

Homemade Face Coverings

Lynda Pickering and her friend Rene started making masks in June this year from donated fabric sending all proceeds to Cornwall Hospice Care. Five months on and they have raised £3900! Thank you Lynda and Rene! They are still sewing, so if you would like a homemade, reusable mask then look no further.  They are £2 each, except for 16 & 17 which cost £3 each plus £2 p&p or can be collected from AJ’s Coffee Shop, Carlyon Bay or St Tudy Community Shop.

To order email your request using the pink button below.  You can pay cash if collecting from one of the outlets or send your payment via paypal to pickeringlynda@gmail.com (please use the friends and family option so Lynda doesn’t incur costs).

Julyan Drew - A Reverent Eye Calendar

Julyan’s family are delighted that profits from the sale of these calendars will support The Centre Newlyn, a multipurpose community centre which Julyan was instrumental in establishing, and to St Julia’s Hospice which gave such loving care to Julyan.

The calendar is being printed now and buyers will be advised when ready for collection; or if postage is paid, will be advised when posted.
