Cornwall Hospice Care provide volunteering opportunities all around the county. Whether it is sharing the skills of your employees or using their practical skills to help at their local hospice, in the office, warehouse or shop, we can help find the right opportunities to suit your employees.


Our events team organise and promote a large range of events that your employees can take part in. We hold guaranteed places in some of the most sought after events including the London Marathon. Our events team can work with you to create exciting bespoke events to match your client and employee base.

Charity of the Year

Nominate Cornwall Hospice Care as the beneficiary of all fundraising activities over the course of the year. The length of support will have a great impact on the amount of money you raise and will encourage ownership of the cause with your staff and customers. Events will give plenty of PR opportunities to reinforce your commitment to the local community.

Employee volunteering

Volunteers contribute a great deal to our charity. When money is tight, you can still support Cornwall Hospice Care by giving your employees time and encouragement to volunteer for us. Volunteering helps motivate employees and is great for team building!

Gifts in kind

It’s not all about donating money. Equipment or services can be donated, such as IT equipment, toys, prizes for raffles, use of conference rooms, printing jobs – the list is endless. Things that don’t cost you anything can be of great benefit to us. And if you give an item to charity that is manufactured or sold in the course of your trade, you are eligible for tax relief.

Sponsor an event

Sponsoring a Cornwall Hospice Care event or publication is an excellent way to send a positive message. We run high-profile events from golf days to festive Santa runs - all great opportunities to show your commitment to our cause.

Charitable Donations

Businesses can make charitable donations under the Gift Aid scheme. For more details on the tax benefits you would receive please call 01726 66868 and ask for the finance department or discuss the advantages with your own Financial Adviser.

Company-Led Events

You could organise an event (big or small) involving your staff, customers, clients or even the general public. A Charity Golf Day with corporate hospitality for your clients; a staff football tournament, a fun ‘It’s a Knockout’ for staff, family and friends, a staff challenge day to encourage team building and fundraising.

Join Our Events

Haven’t got time to organise an event of your own? You could always get your company involved in one of our fundraising events or bring together some teams for a bit of friendly rivalry or see who can raise the most funds.

Matched Funding

Why not offer an incentive to encourage your staff’s fundraising efforts by matching them £ for £. This will double the amount raised, develop a sense of team effort and your company can still benefit from tax relief under the Gift Aid scheme.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving allows your staff to automatically donate to the charity of your choice from their pay packet or pension. Your company or pension provider makes the deduction, before tax and other deductions are calculated, so you do not pay tax on the income you have chosen to donate. To facilitate Payroll Giving, your employer/pension provider simply signs up to a Payroll Giving Agency, who will administer donations on their behalf.

If you wish to give in this way please ask your employer if they run a Payroll Giving Scheme and complete your mandate with Cornwall Hospice Care as your chosen charity. If your employer does not offer this scheme we would be happy to attend a presentation to encourage your employer and colleagues to introduce this tax-effective way of giving to charities.
