Why can't I donate in my local shop?
We found benefits operating this way;
- a safe and improved donor experience,
- increased Gift Aid sign-up’s
- reduced van mileage
- better movement of saleable stock rather than items destined for recycling
This means more of the money made by shopping with us goes to the care at our two hospices, Mount Edgcumbe and St Julia’s, so we will continue to work this way.
Do I have to book an appointment to donate?
Bodmin Donation Centre closes at 1.30pm
St Austell Donation Centre closes at 3.30pm
Bude Donation Centre closes at 1.30pm
Our other sites operate on a first come basis and will close for the day once they are full. This differs day to day as some people bring a full load and some drop in a box or two. We highly recommend getting to these sites when they open for the day.

What do I do if I don't drive?
Do you collect donations?
You can request a free furniture collection by emailing furniturecollections@cornwallhospice.co.uk. This service is for items that you can’t bring in yourself – sofas, wardrobes, dining room furniture etc. In your email please include your contact details and as much detail as possible about your items including photos. Please ensure items are in a saleable condition, and if upholstered have the correct fire safety labels attached
Do you accept CDs, DVDs or console games?
Please check they are in working condition so that we are able to sell and avoid disposal costs.
We no longer accept VHS.
