Donating to us FAQs

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions about generously donating your items to us below. Please email communications@cornwallhospice.co.uk if you don’t find the answer you are looking for.

Can I donate at my local shop?

No, because of Covid-19 we have had to adapt the way donations are processed. This means you can no longer donate items directly to your local shops.

There are Donation Points at our Hayle, Penryn Furniture and Truro Furniture shops.

We also have designated Donation centres in St Austell and Bodmin.

Do you collect donations?

Yes – we collect furniture items.

You can request a free furniture collection by emailing furniturecollections@cornwallhospice.co.uk. This service is for  items that you can’t bring in yourself – sofas, wardrobes, dining room furniture etc.  In your email please include your contact details and as much detail as possible about your items including photos.  Please ensure items are in a saleable condition, and if upholstered have the correct fire safety labels attached

Do you accept CDs, DVDs or console games?

Yes

Can you accept books that aren't in good condition?

If they are still recognisable as books we can accept them. We send them on to recycle and ask that customers could add a note that they are to be recycled when bringing in –  this will save us time and money.
