You will find the e-learning content for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly End of Life Learning Path within the e-ELCA content page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the tab labelled ‘Learning paths – Organisations.
The e-learning sessions have been selected from amongst the many excellent sessions available within the e-ELCA programme. Eleven ‘core’ sessions were chosen to reflect the learning outcomes identified in the ‘One chance to Get it Right’ document. This document details the approach to delivering end of life care that staff should adopt, irrespective of where they work.
The range of sessions reflect many of the key topics which are important in end of life care, including ’Introduction to principles of assessment in end of life care’, ’Discussing do not attempt CPR decisions’ and ‘Symptom management for the dying adult’.
In addition to the core sessions you will be asked to undertake a session of your choice relevant to your area of work, or an area of interest. The wide range of sessions to choose from such as ’End stage cardiac disease’ or ’Dying as a homeless person’ ensure that there should be something to suit everyone.
The e-ELCA sessions can be completed in any order of preference.
