A 20 acre spring and summer garden Bonython is one of the “Great Gardens of Cornwall” and its extensive redesigning continues. Sweeping main drive bordered by hydrangeas with formal planting around Manor (not open). Walled Garden with herbaceous borders and kitchen garden. Through an orchard of indigenous Cornish Apple Trees the first of three lakes, which specimen trees and shrubs surround. Extensive clearing work carried out at second lake now with hot summer planting programme, incorporating Ornamental Grasses, Mediterranean and South African plants. Rhododendron Glade, surrounded by Tree Ferns, Bluebells and various Primulas and woodland planting, leads to a third lake .
