Throughout December, Crowan Crafts (a St Ives Artist’s Co-operative) will be raising money again for Cornwall Hospice Care in memory of their potter Lynda Jewell, from Redruth, who died of Ovarian Cancer in 2014. Lynda was a founder member of Crowan Crafts and gave so much of her time and energy to helping out whenever she could. “We all miss her and her wonderful pots”. They are also remembering another of their potters, Tony Worthington, from Grampound, who sadly died last year. He made such fabulous Raku Rocking Fish and Birds – people still come into the shop and ask for them. “We miss your humour, Tony”.
All their artisans have agreed to decorate some plain wooden baubles and there will be a stunning array of original designs which they will be selling in order to raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care.
