We are so excited to finally be able to launch our new cycle: the Camel to Castle Cycling Challenge. This five day trip will take a group of 50 cyclists from the mouth of the River Camel to France, traversing Cornwall from West to East and ultimately cycling a total of 280 miles.
In support of this we are hosting a free launch event, to help you find out more. We will cover the route, fundraising support, what the trip is actually like to participate in, and so much more.
Hosted at Healeys Cyder Farm, on Saturday 29th September 3-5PM, we hope you can join us. There is no need to RSVP.
To find out more about the Camel to Castle Cycling Challenge, see our event page here.
For anyone who signs up to the cycle at the event will be entered into a free prize draw to win their event registration for free. The winner will still need to fundraise!
In addition, we will also premiere the film from last year’s Mount to Mont Cycle, the very challenge that inspired our Camel to Castle Cycling Challenge.
Every year it costs over £5 million to provide the specialist care we offer to our in and out patients. Only 20% of this is funded through a contribution from Cornwall’s NHS Commissioners, in simple terms, the NHS contribution pays for 71 days of care each year. In a calendar year that’s only enough to get us to the 12th March. We rely on the generosity of people like you in Cornwall who leave us legacies, support fundraising events, play our lottery and visit our 32 shops.
