Run Falmouth Half Marathon is the 4th event in Cornwall Grand Prix Race series sponsored by Cornwall Glass. The race is arranged and managed by ourselves and in association with the Falmouth Road Runners.

The 13.1 mile route starts in the lee of Pendennis Castle following the coast past the beautiful beaches of Gyllyngvase and Swanpool and glimpsing Maenporth Beach as the route rises to give fabulous views over the bay towards Pendennis Castle. The route follows undulating Cornish country lanes featuring open fields and wooded scenes, passing the beautiful Falmouth Golf Course twice. The run is well supported along the whole route as locals from the picturesque villages come out to cheer the runners on.

There are all the usual features of a Grand Prix event; water stations, baggage drop, bananas, prizes, and once again the Run Falmouth Half Marathon is being chip timed.

The race is limited to 800 places only. Online registration will close at midday on FRIDAY 6TH MARCH 2020, or when the race is at capacity. Registrations will be accepted on the day if places are still available. The 2019 event sold out, so we are encouraging people to register in advance to avoid disappointment.

New for 2020 – Run for Free! If you raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship you will be eligible to register for the event for free!

Can you do it? Yes you can!

A good level of fitness and training is required to complete Run Falmouth Half Marathon but whatever your ability you can achieve your goal and complete the half marathon!

Why support Cornwall Hospice Care?

Every year it costs over £5.35 million to provide the specialist care we offer to our in and out patients. Only 19% of this is funded through a contribution from Cornwall’s NHS Commissioners, in simple terms, the NHS contribution pays for just 11 weeks of care each year. We rely on the generosity of people like you in Cornwall who leave us legacies, support fundraising events, play our lottery and visit our 31 shops.

£60 could pay for three hours of unrivalled specialist care from one of our nurses, helping patients who are terminally ill.

£37 could pay for one Lymphoedema appointment to ease swelling and symptoms for someone with cancer.

£23 could pay for an hour with our bereavement counsellor, supporting families  through the loss of a loved one.
