Join us for a very relaxing walk, suitable for all around the Carlyon Bay, Charlestown and Porthpean area of St Austell, and suitable for everyone – families, couples and friends. You can even bring your four-legged friends to join in the fun!

Take part in St Austell on Sunday 4th July from 2.00 pm for a walk around Carlyon Bay and Charlestown, starting at our Furniture shop at Daniels Lane (PL25 3HS).   With two routes to choose from (2.5 and 4.3 miles) the shorter route is mainly flat, making it perfect for smaller legs to enjoy, while the longer route branches onto a section of Coast Path (please note – there are steps on this section) between Carlyon Bay and Charlestown.

Can you do it? Yes you can!

You do not need to be a fitness guru to undertake this walk. It is a relatively flat route.  We do ask that you consider setting up a JustGiving page to raise some sponsorship though.

Cornwall Hospice Care has fought hard to keep going during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our clinical teams kept our hospices open, but our shops were closed for 7 of the last 12 months and our fundraising activities ground to a halt. This had a devastating effect on our ability to raise the funds needed to provide our care. As a result we are now asking you to Step Out for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and help bring in the money we need to keep our hospice beds open.

We admitted over 400 patients during the pandemic and now need you to help us maintain our support to people in Cornwall who are terminally ill and require our services.

Everyone who raises £100 or more for this event will receive a Cornwall Hospice Care T-shirt and ALL participants will receive a 15% voucher to spend in our shops!

If you are unable to set up a JustGiving page, please consider adding a donation when you register for this event. Thank you.

Why support Cornwall Hospice Care?

We rely on the generosity of people like you in Cornwall who leave us legacies, support fundraising events, play our lottery and visit our shops.

£60 could pay for three hours of unrivalled specialist care from one of our nurses, helping patients who are terminally ill.

£37 could pay for one Lymphoedema appointment to ease swelling and symptoms for someone with cancer.

£23 could pay for an hour with our bereavement counsellor, supporting families  through the loss of a loved one.
