EVENT POSTPONED: Our Largest Cream Tea Party World Record Attempt has been postponed until a later date due to the UK Government Advice about the Coronavirus outbreak.
We are working on an alternative date and once we have this confirmed we will be in touch with everyone who has purchased a ticket. Those who cannot attend will be offered a full refund or the option to donate their ticket price to the charity.
Join us for The Largest Cream Tea Party – Cornwall Hospice Care’s Guinness World Record Attempt TM!
The afternoon tea party taking place on Saturday 20th June in the Exhibition Hall at The Royal Cornwall Showground will be a celebration like no other as Cornwall Hospice Care marks 40 years of providing specialist care in Cornwall.
It’ll be #jamfirst as we bring the largest cream tea record to Cornwall at this 1940s themed party with performances from Company B and The Liberty Sisters.
Tickets cost just £10 per person to include your scone, tea and entertainment. The event is open to anyone over the age of 16. If you are the parent or guardian of someone aged 16-18 by signing them up to this event you are giving consent on their behalf.
Be aware in order to be counted for the world record attempt participants have to eat one whole scone, with clotted cream and jam, and drink one full cup of tea – the rules are strict and we want to make history so please consider this when signing up! Please make sure you read the terms and conditions before committing to this event (see Important Information section at the bottom of this page).
Forty Cornwall based businesses are sponsoring the event, along with Boosters Limited of Redruth who are providing all the merchandise, Fourwinds Garage, Mitchell sponsoring the entertainment, Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream providing all the cream and Tregothnan the tea.
