One of the great summer pleasures is to go and visit wonderful gardens. The Cornwall Hospice Care Open Gardens Programme offers you the chance to see some gardens that are not often open to the public and their owners work very hard to prepare them for us, specifically to raise money towards our care.

About this garden

Open Sunday 21st & Monday 22nd April.

A 3 acre riverside garden specialising in trees and shrubs chosen for their flowers, foliage and form; including 35 magnolia varieties, numerous cornus, viburnums, paulownias, davidias and acers. Informal setting complemented by ponds, waterfalls and spring flowers surrounding a gothic lodge.

Why support Cornwall Hospice Care?

Every year it costs over £5 million to provide the specialist care we offer to our in and out patients. Only 20% of this is funded through a contribution from Cornwall’s NHS Commissioners, in simple terms, the NHS contribution pays for 71 days of care each year. In a calendar year that’s only enough to get us to the 12th March. We rely on the generosity of people like you in Cornwall who leave us legacies, support fundraising events, play our lottery and visit our 32 shops.
