Whether you should have been running the London Marathon this year or haven’t quite made it off the couch, this challenge is for you. You can do it during lockdown and you can do it with your friends.
We’re also offering a gorgeous medal, that once in a lifetime achievement, but most of all the absolutely unbeatable feeling of having done something really good for someone else.
This is Your Marathon at Your Pace in your space. With two distances to choose from, a Half Marathon or Marathon, until Saturday 23rd May to complete it, and one fabulous bespoke medal handcrafted in Cornwall.
All you need to do is sign up, download Strava or similar tracking device and get going. Join our Yout Marathon Strava Club and share your stories, photos and achievements and we’ll shout them out on our media channels.
Run, Jog or Walk, it’s up to you how you get your distance.
You can do it on your own, with your partner, with the kids and/ or with the dog ( yes they get a medal and certificate too!)
Set up your JustGiving page and share it everywhere to tell the world who will instantly empty their purses into your fundraiser from the sheer shock of learning that you are going to do a Marathon. If you want to fundraise for a particular Hospice, sign with just giving to Cornwall Hospice Care and then let us know which Hospice, St Julia’s or Mount Edgcumbe you are supporting.
We’re giving until Saturday 23rd May to complete your run and you don’t need to choose which distance before you start. When the event closes simply send us your tracker history and we’ll send you the medal and a smashing certificate to hang on the wall.
On a more serious note, we’re facing a national crisis like no other while still keeping our two hospices open 24/7. With your help we’re continuing to care for terminally ill people in Cornwall and we need you to ensure we maintain this core service.
We welcome the support we’re receiving from the government, but with all our shops closed and our fundraising events postponed, we still need you.
We are, as a charity, totally reliant on the support of people like you.
£20 funds an hour of our specialist nursing care and we need this now more than ever. If 100 people raised £200 each for us that’s 1000 hours of nursing care.
You could help make that happen, sign up today and invite your friends.
For all runners, sponsorship is optional. However, you are encouraged to raise some sponsorship, no matter how little.
