Hospice UK‘s Hospice Care Week 2019 runs from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th October 2019 focusing on the theme of “This is what it takes”.
During the week, we will be talking to people from all aspects of our Cornish charity about what it takes from their perspective.
We began Hospice Care Week by speaking to our Director of Clinical Services, Gina Starnes.
We continue our theme of “this is what it takes” on day 2 talking with our Head of Fundraising, Oli Hoare.
We continue the 2019 Hospice Care Week theme of “This is what it takes” with a look at the huge contribution that our 30+ shops across Cornwall make to funding our specialist 24/7 care, with Graham Clarke.
Another aspect we look at is the vital role that volunteers play in our Cornish charity from our Chief Executive, Paul Brinsley in the “This is what it takes” theme for 2019 Hospice Care Week.
Fridays are always exciting as it’s the day we announce our weekly Lottery draw winners. As part of our “This is what it takes” series of films for Hospice Care Week 2019, we see Oli Hoare from Fundraising and Katie Hewitt from our Lottery team talking about the contribution our Lottery players make to funding our specialist care.
On Saturday of national Hospice Care Week, we were live at one of our Fundraising events – our Fire & Ice Walk, discussing the hugely important role our supporters play in funding our care – we simply couldn’t do it without you! #ThisIsWhatItTakes
On Sunday our ‘This is what it takes’ films ended where they started, with Gina our Director of Clinical Services at our Mount Edgcumbe Hospice. Watch for some exciting 2020 news!
Keep a look out on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages and on our website for more interviews and insights into what makes Cornwall Hospice Care tick and what it takes to deliver our specialist 24/7 care.
