This post would suit a doctor on any career path who wishes to gain experience and skills in specialist palliative medicine. We are looking for people who are highly motivated, willing to learn and flexible in their approach to support our teams and patients across our services.
Cornwall Hospice Care is a leading Cornish charity providing specialist care for people with terminal illnesses. This care is provided free of charge at our two hospices – Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle, in Cornwall’s hospitals, care homes and in the community. We also run a 24-hour advice line for other healthcare professionals.
The majority of our funding comes from public support. This can be through our 31 charity shops across Cornwall; legacies; fundraising; lottery; education and donations. We also have a large distribution centre and business premises in St Austell.
We offer an excellent working environment as part of a dedicated and professional team. In return for the contribution our employees make to the lives of other people, we offer:
- competitive salaries
- a supportive working environment
- professional career development and training
- seven weeks holiday (including bank holidays)
- a pension scheme
- a comprehensive healthcare plan with a discounted rate for family members
- free on-site parking at our hospices
- subsidised dining
