An extra day of leave to say thank you from our Executive Team – Friday 10th September 2021

We owe you all a huge thank you. The challenging world in which we found ourselves when Covid-19 arrived, has continued to affect us all. We’re still abiding by special measures introduced to protect our hospices, staff, volunteers, shoppers and supporters. You’re all continuing to go the extra mile to help get our charity through these difficult times and we want to acknowledge that commitment by giving you an extra day of leave.

It’s a non-contractual day and will be awarded pro rata for staff working less than full time hours and including those on a fixed term contract. It won’t apply to Bank Staff as they’re on a different employment scheme. The extra day will be effective for all staff who are in our employment from the 1st of October 2021 and your ONETEAM record will be updated by that date.

We’d ask you to please try and take your extra leave in the run up to and including this year’s Christmas season. Perhaps you’d welcome a Christmas shopping day or time to plan for this year’s celebration.  We just want you to enjoy this opportunity we’ve taken to show our appreciation for all your hard work and resilience in these uncertain times.
