Cornwall Hospice Care, with title sponsor Ann’s Cottage Surf and Lifestyle Stores, have launched their 2019 Santa fun runs and cycle giving people a fun and festive way to support the 24/7 Cornish charity as they strive to care for more patients at their St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle and Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell.

David Renwick is the Chair of Cornwall Hospice Care; “We can only open more beds with the support of the public. I’m appealing to everyone in Cornwall to help us as we strive to support more people with terminal illnesses and their families and carers. I’d also like to thank everyone who has helped fund our care by pulling on the red hat and taking to the streets of Cornwall each December.”

Head of Fundraising, Oliver Hoare added; “In 2018, you, our beloved Santas raised an amazing £32,500, helping to fund 1,625 hours of nursing care. Opening more beds mean increased nursing costs, so this year we hope to see even more red suited runners and riders. Our nurses are key to the care we deliver and are a very special team, £20 funds one hour of nursing care.”

Don’t miss your chance to make a difference this year. The events return to Padstow and Wadebridge on 7th Dec, Helston on 8th Dec, Truro on 11th Dec, Falmouth on 14th Dec and kick off with a brand new magical location at The Lost Gardens of Heligan on the evening of Friday 6th Dec.
