In the three weekends leading up to Christmas 2019 Carnon Downs Garden Centre hosted a Craft Fair with special guest, Santa! All to raise money for Cornish charity Cornwall Hospice Care. The events were a huge success with a total of £1505 raised to help fund the care at St Julia’s and Mount Edgcumbe hospices.

Event organisers Tina and Julia were delighted with the events and explained “It was a flurry of fundraising across the 3 weekends, we had a festive BBQ, raffle, Christmas jumper day, Santas grotto and of course our wonderful Craft Fair. We are absolutely thrilled to donate £1505 to Cornwall Hospice Care, and we look forward to doing it all again this year!”

Anna Seymour, Community Fundraiser for Cornwall Hospice Care said “A huge thank you to Carnon Downs Garden Centre and to every single person who attended. You have made a huge difference to our patients and their carers, friends and families.”

“I thought the craft market was well organised and set up! Fab fun and festive :-)” Deena

“Firstly many congratulations on the amount you raised, well done.  My friend Betty and I were delighted to have the opportunity to have a stall and we were also very pleased with the amount we raised as we also were doing it for charity. There seemed to be a lovely atmosphere amongst the other stallholders and also customers, and as it was your first fair we thought it went extremely well.
It was a great idea and hopefully, if you decide to repeat it next year we would certainly book a stall.” Betty and Brenda

“For your first fair you did very well and what a fantastic amount of money raised for such a good cause. We found our weekend very enjoyable and entertaining – a good mix of traders, music ,singers, bell ringers and Father Christmas even came to visit. Not forgetting the BBQ! Well done.” Paul & Pat
