Receiving the £1,000, Paul Brinsley added; “We rely on the local community for support and I’m delighted to say the Rotary Club of St Austell Bay are good and loyal friends and I thank them for their continuing generosity. It’s been a horrid year for us all, but with help such as this we’ve been able to keep our two hospices at Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia’s in Hayle, open 24/7 and admitting those patients who need us.”
Mike Ward adds; “In normal times our Club meets on Monday evenings at the Britannia Inn and we organise a number of events and activities throughout the year, raising money for many charities and good causes. We’re continuing to meet via Zoom during this pandemic.
