What makes your Christmas special?
For many, Christmas is a time for traditions and togetherness. As we decorate our homes and look forward to seeing our family and friends.
For me as one of the chefs at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice it’s about bringing comfort and connection through food. Helping to make mealtimes special for families as they spend precious time together in our hospices.
On Christmas Day, I’ll be wearing my festive hat and visiting each bedside, chatting with patients and their families, listening to cherished memories, and tailoring meals to each person’s tastes — even if it’s just a spoonful of that something special.
Staff working on Christmas Day are looked after too, enjoying a festive lunch during their break, surrounded by the warmth of community and care.
Would you like to help make this Christmas special in our hospices?
A fun and festive way to support our hospices is by taking part in our traditional Christmas Raffle. All tickets are £1.50 and all prizes will be won!
Thank you for your support — we couldn’t do it without you.
With warm wishes,
Paul, Chef at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice
