Cornwall Hospice Care is pleased to be able to offer a once in a lifetime experience aboard the Belmond British Pullman luxury vintage train on a journey to the stunning country home and subtropical gardens of ancient Dunster Castle.

We invite you to step on board the Belmond British Pullman, sister train to the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, and experience the excitement of luxury train travel. From the moment you join us, you are transported to a world of pure indulgence. Take a seat in the vintage carriages that once ran on legendary 1920s services such as The Brighton Belle and The Golden Arrow. Glide through stunning scenery as champagne flows and gourmet cuisine is served. Expect glamour, fun and a dash of adventure.

Day Itinerary

Sparkling bellini, fresh fruit salad, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, accompanied by pastries, tea and coffee will be served on the outward journey to Somerset.

On arrival at Bishops Lydeard, a coach will transfer you to the village of Dunster, giving you a couple of hours to explore the castle and gardens.  Rejoin the British Pullman train at Dunster and travel along the scenic West Somerset Railway (please note this is not steam hauled) at the start of your journey back to Cornwall.

Or you may prefer to experience a taste of steam travelling on the heritage West Somerset Railway service from Bishops Lydeard to Watchet, an ancient harbour town. You’ll have a short while to explore the small harbour town before rejoining the British Pullman at Watchet to travel back along the scenic West Somerset line (please note this is not steam hauled) at the start of your journey back to Cornwall.

Champagne and canapes await your return to the Pullman for the journey home, followed by a sumptuous four course dinner with wine.

This is your time to look fabulous, come dressed in smart casual attire or go over the top with vintage costume. Remember, you can never be overdressed with Belmond. We request that you do not wear jeans or trainers.

Ticket Price £395 per person. A £95 deposit will secure your place, call 01726 66868 (option 3) or email jwilliams@cornwallhospice.co.uk to book.
