Tribute Pages

Our tribute pages offer a way to remember a loved one that you can share with your family and friends wherever they are. They are free to set up and there is no target imposed on them, and they can last for however long you wish.

A tribute page enables you to remember a loved one by uploading photographs, memories and to fundraise. Your family and friends are also able to contribute to the page, any donations made on your page will go directly to helping us provide care to our patients and support to their families at a difficult time.

You might like to use your page to donate at special times such as birthdays or anniversaries. You may wish to boost your funds by taking part in one of our events, having a leaf on our memory tree or by setting up a monthly direct debit.

There are many ways in which to get a tribute fund up and running and we can help you every step of the way and keep you regularly updated on your page total. You can set up your tribute page here or for more information please call Clare on 01726 66868.

Light up a Life

Light up a Life is our much loved remembrance event which takes place throughout November and December across Cornwall. You are invited to enter your loved ones names into our book of remembrance and, if you wish, to attend one of celebration services held across the county.

We currently hold services each year at Launceston, Mount Edgcumbe Hospice, Truro Cathedral, St Julia’s Hospice and Penzance. Dates and times of these services are available from November. Each service is a moving yet uplifting way to join with others and remember loved ones at this special time of year. The services feature carols, readings and prayers and the book of remembrance is available to view.

When filling in your details to take part in Light up a Life you will be asked which location you would like your page to be in, however if you are unable to attend one of the services, the book is also available to view from our website.

As with all of our remembrance events, Light up a Life is open to everyone, there does not need to have been a connection with either of our hospices. However, by supporting Light up a Life you will be helping us to continue providing our care to people in Cornwall living with a life limiting illness and supporting their families and friends.

Reflections

Reflections is a beautiful way in which to remember loved ones, our hand-crafted willow raft in the shape of an open lotus flower is adorned with bright pink gerbera flowers. Each flower then carries a hand written and personal message of remembrance.

As we gather on the beach at Trebah Gardens the raft is carried down to the water’s edge accompanied by gentle music and the raft is rowed slowly away.

This annual event which takes place in June is growing in popularity. As with all of our remembrance events there does not need to have been a connection with either of the hospices in order to take part. Even if you are unable to make it to the beach on the day, we will ensure that your message of remembrance is included on the raft.

This year's event will be held on Sunday 25th June 2017.  Further details can be found here: https://www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk/Event/reflections-sunday-25th-june-2017
