Volunteers are at the heart of our charity. In fact, we rely on an army of 900 volunteers who take on a wide range of jobs in support of Cornwall Hospice Care. To celebrate National Volunteers Week we’re featuring some of those who give their time to make a difference.

Rachel Tregunna is a ward volunteer at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell.  She does a regular evening shift, offering vital support to our amazing nursing teams. Her duties include serving meals and drinks to patients, domestic jobs like ironing and stocking cupboards, chatting with patients and their families and tending to flowers and plants.

We’re always in need of more ward volunteers at both Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle. If you’d like to find out more please contact Becky Rust, our Volunteer Services Coordinator on 01726 65711 or 07717 892166.
