Our nurses are such a key part of the care we deliver; they are there for our patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and they are a very special team.

We have opened more beds
Our hospices in Hayle and St Austell give terminally ill patients and their families peace, dignity and the specialised care they need.
As the only adult hospice charity in Cornwall, we know that there are many more families who would benefit from our special care; more than we are able to help, so we have been investing in our staff and facilities to open more beds. We are pleased to let you know that we have opened 4 more beds this year alone, meaning we now provide 9 beds at each hospice, 18 in total for Cornwall, with more planned later in the year.
More beds are fantastic news for families in Cornwall who have a loved one with a terminal illness. However, having more beds open also means we need to increase our nursing capacity to ensure we offer our patients the high level of care they need.
