I am the Director of Clinical Services at Cornwall Hospice Care and have been in post since Feb 2019.

I am responsible for the nursing and therapy teams across both hospice sites and am the Registered Manager for the Care Quality Commission who regulate our service.  I am also the (joint) Accountable Officer for  Controlled Drugs.

I am proud to have trained as a nurse in the Army and to have held a nursing qualification for 33 years.  Throughout my career I  have always worked hard to support clinical teams to provide the best care possible to patients and families at the end of life.

I have worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital and was Director of Patient Services at St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley where I attained my Masters in Hospice Leadership and Management.  Prior to working here at Cornwall Hospice Care I worked as End of Life Lead for Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group – which helped me no end with my Cornish geography!

I am married to Chris and we have moved to Cornwall to be closer to the Cornish branch of our family and also to enjoy the stunning scenery and opportunities that this wonderful part of the world offers.

Its important to me to get the end of life right for as many people as possible in Cornwall – and I have no doubt that with the great team here we can achieve that together.
