Providing the people of Cornwall with outstanding end of life care seems to me to be of vital importance. I hope that, as a trustee, I am able to devote my passion, experience and skills to helping do just that.
I also serve as a volunteer on reception at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and at the Neighbourhood Hub in Wadebridge, and, in Spring 2016, I spent six weeks walking the South West Coastal Path to raise funds for the charity. I feel so blessed to be able to play a part in the care that is delivered, both in the Hospices and within the community at large.
To my trustee role I bring over 40 years’ experience in developing leaders and organisations as a trainer, coach and organisational development consultant. Together with my MBA (Masters in Business Administration), I hope this will keep me contributing to the continuing success of both Cornwall Hospice Care in its endeavours as a whole and to the Clinical Services Committee in particular.
I find it difficult to put into words what I feel about and how much of a privilege I believe it is to me to be part of Cornwall Hospice Care and the caring work it does throughout Cornwall. I can only say how very honoured I am to be a member of this team.
