Fundraise for Cornwall Hospice Care

Cornwall Hospice Care is funded by people like you. People who do great things in their community to fund our hospice nurses. When you fundraise for us, you’re making a real difference. Our clinical teams offer care for people from the age of 18 who are terminally ill. Our support extends to the patient’s family, carers and friends.

Join a fundraising group

We have volunteer fundraising groups across our county, many of which have supported our hospices since they first opened. With their support, they fund hours of hospice nurse care, and they do so by:

  • Supermarket collections
  • Coffee mornings
  • Opening gardens to the public
  • Cream tea and cake sales
  • Stalls at local events
  • Putting out collection tins
  • Bucket collections
  • Selling goods

Fundraise at school

Fundraising at school is a great way to have fun, learn new skills and as a small team, make a huge difference to someone nearing the end of their life.

From sponsored events such as swim-a-thons to bake-offs, dress-down days or school fetes, or even joining one of our Santa events, there are many ways your school, college or university can get involved, fundraise for us and support our hospice nurses.

However you choose to support us, we’ll be with you every step of the way and help make your fundraising successful. Get in touch today, and we’ll help explore your ideas we’d be delighted to come and give a talk to your students and teachers to share how you will make a difference to all those whose lives we touch.

Business partnerships

Working with Cornwall Hospice Care can bring genuine and long-lasting benefits to your company, from demonstrating your support of a local worthy cause and evidencing your social responsibility to employee motivation and team building.

Partnerships are a two-way street, and we recognise that both your business needs and philanthropic aims must be satisfied. No matter how big or small your company, we are certain we can provide a partnership to suit us both.

Let’s find out how we can both work together, get in touch with our team via email by clicking the button below or call 01726 66868 and choose option 3.

Charity of the Year

Does your company nominate a Charity of the Year? If so we will connect you with your dedicated fundraiser to help you achieve your goals and maximise your fundraising. We’ll provide face-to-face support, materials, advice and PR support when you fundraise for us.

Sponsorship

We host several big and small events across the County, and via sponsorship, you can help to fund our hospice nurses whilst being promoted as one of our event sponsors. All sponsorship will have a corporate agreement, ranging from a ‘Title Sponsor’ of our Run Falmouth Half Marathon to placing an advert in our Open Gardens brochure.

Team building and volunteering

Do you want to leave the office for a day and work with colleagues on something different and fun? Great, we can host volunteering days, from garden projects at our hospices to helping sort donations, marshalling events, or entering them as a team. Whatever your needs, we can find the right fit for us both.

Payroll giving

Giving directly from your pay is tax efficient. Anyone can give if their pay or pension is taxed through PAYE, and their employer offers a Payroll Giving Scheme. Payroll Giving helps to provide Cornwall Hospice Care with a reliable monthly income to fund our care, for example:

An hour of hospice nurse’s time costs, on average, £24. Through Payroll Giving a £24 donation would cost you £19.20 as a 20% tax rate payer. This gets lower to just £13.20 if you are a 45% tax rate payer, and we would still get the full donation of £24!

Donations or gifts in kind

Not all gifts need to be financial to support us. Sometimes, donations of goods or services can help our charity, sometimes something even as simple as being able to use your meeting room can help us enormously. If you have a resource that could be useful for us and would be willing to donate, we would love to hear from you.
